Yikes...skim ice all ready. What's the time frame of the cisco spawn: in process or close to over?
Stay warm and be safe!

We have skim ice on a few lakes now too, and the weather is supposed to be very cold with the exception of one day...next Saturday.

Winter, she's a coming quick this year. If it is going to freeze early, I hope the snow fall is huge and it lasts until May.

The lake I fish most, Pewaukee, is down about 16 inches. She could use some snow to fill up. She could also use some heavy snow to kill off some of the weeds on the east end. Half of our lake is virtually unfishable. Open a few pockets up and it is game on.

So if it is cold and the water freezes, I hope it snows tons this year!

Forecast for Vilas Cty is 43 Thurs,43 Friday, 48 Sat, 54 on Sunday. I think whatever has froze will open back up, especially if we get rain (50% chance)
