| I saw a post on Musky Hunter about Dick Pearson Grinder spinnerbait erc has.
Has anyone on this board tried it?
I remember reading Dick P's article in In-Fish about his grinding technique. Did anyone else read that. Good article. Put some fish in my boat.

| The Grinder is a spinnerbait designed by Dick Pearson. Obviously by the name alone you can tell it is ideal for the technique discussed in In-Fisherman Magazine.
This is a SLOP FISHING MACHINE. But, don't limit its potential to grinding through the junk. The Super G will excel at speed trolling and slow rolling. The Little G will be an awesome spring time lure and excel in heavy pressured waters.
Attached is a picture of this beauty. DickP made no mistakes when designing this baby!!!!!

| Jason, am I to assume that ERC will have these for sale at the Chicago show? |

| Looks like a Rad Dog to me. I wonder if Mike Ruff is helping him produce these "grinders" ???

| Looks like a Rad Dog, but, with some extra feathers. We've had good luck with dogs in the past. I'll have to give the this bad boy a try.[] |

| Jamie,
Yes. ERC will have the Pearson Grinders available in Chicago.
As for looking like a Rad Dog... that was inevitable. The Rad Dog was one of the benchmarks for this project. The short arm design of the Grinder is unique.... and I personally like the more elongated profile it produces. Less of a panfish and more of a baitfish look.
Rad Dogs are awesome lures. Maybe.... hopefully.... one day the Grinder will have just as good of a reputation.

| I’ll try to do the best I can with the Grinding technique.
The art of grinding is basically slow rolling a spinner bait through heavy cover. The cool thing about what Dick is trying to do whith his grinder is he is trying to remove slow from the equation. The intention is a grinder that can be worked a little faster so you can cover more water while grinding
The first time I read about this technique was in Dick Pearson’s book, if you have the book the technique is described on page 87. We immediately went out and put the technique to practice and caught a couple fish. It works.
What you do is work the bait down into the cover then reel it in so it stays close to the bottom and bangs it’s way through the bottom of the weeds. When you contact a weed rather than rip the bait, which is the normal technique for getting rid of weeds, you lightly tap the tip of the rod until the bait works free. The trick is to get the spinnerbait free with out picking up a bunch of junk, which can happen on a hard rip. The right spinner bait will walk and dance, bouncing though some amazingly heavy cover. But you need patients and a good feel for the bait.
I hope that makes since, read Dicks book or get a copy of “The Infishermen” where Stange describes Dicks technique, if you want the full scoop.
Here’s a pic of ERC’s full color lineup for both the Grinder and the Triple D

| The Grinders and Tripple D's look nice.
I might have to tell the wife to limit the diapers to 1 per 4 hours and max out the capacity to get more cash flow in our budget.
Because I just cant buy one![] |

| Thank you Mike for your grinding tips. Since my life is basically working heavy cover infested rivers I know very well what you are speaking about. No doubt this technique need patients, right lures and a good feel for the bait.
I custom made short arms spinnerbaits like these having found great baits for trolling situations. Good slow rollers too.
Ehm…sorry, I fishing for pike. No muskies in my country.
Greetings from Italy
