It actually wasn't bad here. We've had worse thunderstorms the last few years. We only lost power for about 7 or 8 minutes, we don't have any wind damage on our property, and the flooding isn't bad. I haven't been out on the roads yet but I don't expect it to be as bad as was forecast.

Lake Erie / Niagara River in Buffalo,NY, I went to bed with high winds and possible 18 ft wave prediction.I woke up to light East winds,no damage, water clear in Lake Erie /Buffalo Harbor and not a wave insight!

We got pounded (and still are) in Northern Ohio. I've been on Lake Erie for 40+ yrs and have NEVER seen it this bad. It's been raining since Sunday about 10am and it's still coming down. Winds finally backed down to about 25mph. They had to be 55+ Monday night. We were watching the weather channel Monday evening and the "high winds" in the New York area were less than half of what we had here. Lake Erie is a mess (just when the fall walleye run would be starting) and the local muskie lakes will be mud for weeks. All safe in my world, for which I'm thankful.

Air travel if you weren't going to the major hubs out east was absolutely fantastic. 65 people on board what should have been a 135 person full flight. Exit row seats all the way to MKE, and free beer!

Lines to get gas at the lucky stations to have both gas and power in many areas in jersey. The jersey shore got hammered, many houses and boardwalks are gone could be very well be gone forever

Last time I waited in lines like this it was in a Gremlin and the Carter disaster was in the White House. Now this disaster shows up after Sandy and did the smartest man in America ever think maybe 20 million people might need some gas from the Strategic Petro Reserve ? Yup, and it'll probably happen two days before the election.
On a better note, Gov. Christie ordered release of water from two of our resevoirs that helped stock some new waters with muskies.

Harrisburg, Pa. area not hit as hard as others, kinda dodged the bullet here. Had mandatory O.T. No real incidents most people stayed home n off the roads, did pluck one moron outa high water. Some people never learn. Definatly will say some prayers for the people of N.Y. n N.J and elsewhere that were hammered.

I am from central WV and had around 20" of snow and alot of downed trees and power lines. I still don't have power. Some areas close to me had around 4ft of snow. We are still in alot better shape then those on the coast.
