Just curious if any of you tiger chasers get tigers on the 8 regularly? In the past 7 years I have put 2 in the boat off a an 8 but 99.9% of the time they spook off, not sure if its me but it seems about the same for friends of mine who fish them.

Last week I asked about big rubber catching tigers, well that night i boated one on a super d the 5 oz 13" model. So that was cool

thanks for anay input

I've rarely had them go around in the figure 8. Like you said they mostly just turn away or spook

I've had them chase but only 1 went through an L and kicked out before I could really work it.

Same goes for me. I fish Tigers pretty regularly in the Twin Cities metro area, in 10 or so years I've only caught four or five in the eight. With how aggressive they can be at times it surprises me that they seem to spook so easily.

I've caught a couple on the 8, but probably not so much because they "followed" and I "converted" them as much as they simply appear and strike at boatside (I catch a few pike this way every year too and I do a circle or 8 even when fishing for pike)

I have caught 2 small ones in a half hour on a follow and an 8 but other than those 2 I can count maybe 1 other one but it just stopped at the boat and it hit.

As far as the rubber question, I can't remember if I answered on that but a friend just got me into red October tubes and I had a monster on for a few seconds until it got down into the weeds. Needless to say I will be using those tubes ALOT more now!
