Can you run a terrova with a powerdrive v2 football. Love the ability to 101lb and 36 volts but not a fan of the foot pedal sizes after getting to run it a few time. Wonder why minnkota or motorguide make a 101 electro steer beside powerdrive.

I wish Troy...reason I haven't gone to a terrova is that stupid monster footpedal...75% too big and not functional for the way I use my tm...I'm a "pulser" ...left, right and short bursts is all I need....I would LOVE it if Minn Kota made an optional footpedal for the terrova...if you find out something different let us know!

Agree. I never run my Terrova on constant...I love my Terrova EXCEPT you "tap dance" with the three tiny buttons on the bottom of the pad. You actually get used to running it (and I have big feet) but it would be sweet if the left/right and pulse were 3 times the size...especially in the fall. Its easy to run summer time bare feet. Anyone know a Minn Kota rep? Lets get a petition started

Cant tell I was watching football while typing. Love the ability to have the powerdrive pad right at the gunnel, the terrova forces your foot to far back for me to be comfortable. I too like short burst and staying on the structure and especially in the fall, boat control play big factor in getting them in the boat. Was hoping somebody would have some info. I am wondering why the dont make a 36 volt PD

But Troy, why would you want to change? The Terrova foot peddle stays IN the boat way more then that other one while doing 70mph!

I agree, I used to always use the burst on the other pedals, pretty tough to control the boat just using bursts on the terrovas, now i am pretty much forced to run the terrova at a constant speed.

I like the pedal better than the power drive as well.

I also love my Terrova pedal, either use your toe on the bottom buttons or put your foot on the pedal similar to the cable drive pedals....

I agree. I think the terrova foot pedal is easier than the pd. U can just rock back or forward like a cable drive without that weird hump in the middle of the pedal like the pd. Also it stays the direction u want unlike a cable drive.

Here is a little trick that workx well on that foot pedal, take 2 tabs/ dividers from the clear tackle boxes the ones we most use for muskie baits, put 2 screws one in each upper corner on the middle tab of the foot peddle and let it extend off the end. This way you can keep your foot flat on the floor and the tab will bend and still activate the foot peddle. Its much easier to use then and a cheep easy way to improve it.

sorry I dont have a pic available, boat is stored for the winter up in Wis. but the Plano 4-15 tackle boxes come with dividers that you can slide in the slots. Im sure most of us are familiar with them. There 2x3 inches, put two together so you double the thickness, then position it on the middle tab of your foot pedal and put a screw in each upper corner, you have a little room to play with with the length of the screw and the clear tab extends off the foot pedal a good inch or so, it workx very well. I went thru the same problem b4 this as the foot pedal tabs are to close for my liking, this solution divides them up nicely.

That is a killer idea bro!! Been running a Terrova 80lb for 5-6 years, or since the came out, and since day one, hated the pedal as I only use 1 tenth of it(the rear 3 buttons). During the summer I often run it barefoot, as I can feel the dang buttons. Looks like Danny Devito in a polka dance off come fall and I'm in my Iceman boots trying to work a break...

Figuree and I have been discussing for a few years now, that a pedal which incorporates the 'flat-bed' touch design as seen with some video game floor pad controllers for kids. In other words a pedal/pad that is near paper thin, with two big left/right tabs, and a go in between. Your idea will allow one to keep his/her foot on the floor and stable while running the pad, while incorporating some separation between the buttons. I might use something a tad more durable that Plano dividers...

I also have/use the remote, but as a 'pulser' by nature, I require finite adjustments ultra-frequently, and while I've gotten used to the pedal, really dislike it.

I actually don't mind and sorta like the powerdrive pedal...left, right and go is all the "pulsers" in the bunch need...imo I would love a pedal to incorporate a "burst" button off one side or somewhere so when you get that big gust of wind it kicks the motor in at 1.5 x the power setting or something like that...the engineers at MK thought way too hard on teh Terrova foot pedal and it's not that user friendly for the pulsers of the group.... hence why I won't buy one until all the 80 lb PD's out there for sale are gone or dead...
