| i figured out what the issue is .with the ipilot it uses two different wires for steering input and leave two wires disconnected from control box for motor .does anyone service minn kota on here that could tell me if i can splice the wire together to work with foot pedal then unplug and switch to ipilot connection and use that and not harm anything.doesnt say if i could . |

Location: Madison, WI | you have to choose one or the other. I had a PD 70v2 with I-pilot and i talked to Minn Kota directly and you can only hook up one or the other not both. Its a pain but i chose the pedal over the remote because you cant cast musky lures and use a hand remote at the same time very well. |

| There are some guys out there installing mux circuitry to allow the foot pedal to be used but I think its still one or the other but you can have them both plugged in at the same time. Involves some serious hacking as connectors need to be replaced.
You could also install a switch that would allow you to select between the foot pedal and remote steering but only one can be plugged in at a time.
