Right now I have 100lb test on my Calcutta 400te and wondering how much if any casting length I would gain by going with 80 or even 65. I mostly use it casting blades and the distance just seems short.

Also have some linecounters I need to get spooled, how much braid do you guys put on.

100 pound test i oonly use for heavy and or expensive baits.
My bucktails i fish with 65 or 80 pound test, depending on witch other baits i trow that day with the rod.
I have no idee what distance you gain with changing to a lighter bs, i don think it is reel much.

For trolling i have one small spool power pro wound on my spools 135 yards or so..
That way i spool the same aouth on every reel.
I start with the pp on reel one than i fill up with 20 pound mono as far as i want it filled.
I spool this to another reel of the same size and make.
Last reel is diferent, spool the nylon on a spare reel, walk out the pp and reel on the nylon first.
