| I must thank whom ever posted this tip. I have the hardest time twisting the wire so it breaks in the right spot. I have always worried, but figured hooks were sharpers so there are plent of things for the line to wrap against....however this tip has eliviated one concern..thanks..Ben |

| helps keep weeds from catching on anything sticking out too. fishing slop, you try to do everyting possible to eliminate pitchin hay. |

| I've been doin it for the last year. i was having problems with my gliders and the line wrapping around the end of my twist in the river current. on the upswing (into current) during the pause, my line would always wrap on that part of the leader.

Location: Stevens Point, Wi. | Another option is liquid electrical tape. Easy to apply and dries rock hard. It's the same stuff used on outboards to seal electrical connections and keep screws from backing out. |

| I've done this for years on my sucker rigs, because I got sick of poking my fingers rigging up suckers, and putting holes in my neoprene gloves when it's 35 degrees. I never thought about doing the same thing on solid wire leaders. I've been filing them down with a smitty file all these years. Hmph. Not any more!!
I found a packet of various sizes and colors of shrink tubing in the bargain bin at Ace hardware for $2. I doubt I will ever run out. |
