| Hey I was just wondering if there was any modification, hook, etc I could put on my weagle to get a better hooking percentage. I know it's just one of those baits that the fish will just plain miss half the time and there's nothing you can do about that. However anything I can do to get more hook ups would even if its only a little better would still be worth it. Thanks! |

Location: Hayward, WI | I would say the best thing to improve hookups is to work the bait SLOWLY. Pause between each jerk. I can't think of hardly any fish that actually connected with the bait that didn't get hooked and stay hooked. I can think of several that completely missed the bait when I was working it too fast.

| Alright thanks cuz I have had a few miss when I was working it about medium speed. It hit the lure but I didn't feel any pressure. I won't set the hook until I feel pressure. But the times the fish have missed I have never felt any pressure at all so I was never able to set the hook |
