My local bait guy can get me 12-18 inch Creek Chubs for $2 a pop. Are they just as good as sucker minnows?

Ive had better luck with pike hitting chubs compared to muskies but there isnt any set in stone guidlines for what they are hungry for. For $2 each Id get a few and go for it.

Fished all day once with chubs....nothing. Put on a sucker at the end of the day and caught one! Might be coincidence?

Hmmm.... never thought of chubs. Creek by my parents house is loaded with them, might have to try a few.

12"-18" chubs? #*^@ that's a big chub! If you do get some post a picture of one of the big ones.

We started fishing with creek chubs last winter and found out that they work well around here (Kentucky).
The ones we use are only about 4 to 5 inches long. No one aruound here sells suckers or chubs. I wish they did.
