Location: In the Weeds | I have been really interested in these baits. I was looking to try one on a local lake I fish, the lake is only about 10 to 12 foot in most of it and was wondering if its worth a shot? I normally fish bigger, deeper lakes but would like to get my confidence up using the method of jigging by fishing in a lake with more, smaller fish. Thanks guys |

| Thanks for the interest in the baits. I think it would all boil down to water clarity. We've got plenty of anglers fishing that shallow with them on smaller pressured reservoirs and such. If the fish are there, they should eat it. Thanks, Jon |

| So is the clearer water better if its shallow for working these baits? |

| I would say a little stain is more helpful, especially if you are working them vertically right under the boat. |

I've watched some of the youtube clips on working these baits vertically and was wondering if you usually bounce them off the bottom or jig them more in the middle of the water colume? |

| I let it touch the bottom jigging in river current but when I am casting them on the lake I swim them through open water and make the fish rise to eat them. Clear is relative really. If I can see the bottom, yeah that's real clear. But if I can't see the foot of my trolling motor, then no. |
