Posts: 1360 Location: Lake "y" cause lake"x" got over fished | "radar now" is one of my personal favorites, shows you where the front is coming from and how fast it will get to you. if your one of those people (like me) that likes fishing right before the storm... you need this app.. and yes it is also free

Are there any apps that would automatically send a message when there are thunderstorms in the area?

Posts: 504 Location: Ludington, MI | I believe you can program droids to act as emergency weather radios, with alarms and all. My co-worker was awakened when her husband's Galaxy SIII went off in the middle of the night with an urban flood advisory or something.

You can put both your truck and boat in. NFL mobile (Verizon only) will allow you to listen to or watch games on the water. Flashlight apps are great when you cannot find your actual flashlight.

Thanks for the replies. I have had a couple nasty surprises while fishing on smaller lakes, where you don't see the thunder clouds until they are almost on you. This is something I will have to look into.
