As far as I know, the new Trinidad now comes without a casting brake. Can anyone who have fished both the older and the newer version, give me some feedback on the casting performance of the new version please.

Its about the same IMHO but the smaller sizemakes its nicer to work. I still love the 14 size as an all around 10's and `13's reel. I have not used my 16's much since getting a Tranx but until something smaller comes out I do not see moving away froma 14 for 80% of my bucktail casts.
