Been catching musky my whole life on Georgian bay, but until yesterday, every one I have caught has been barred. Yesterday I got my first spotted. I wa always under the impression it was dependent on location... Do they both show up in the same waters always?

Whatever variety you put in the lake is what will likely come out of the lake.

Look at a map you have St Clair to the south and Green Bay to the west. So it doesnt mater if Georgian is stocked or not the chance of stock fish from Green Bay could be there or the spotted fish from St Clair. I believe that Ramsell just did a story in MH about fish in new areas

Probably all three "phases" - barred, clear, spotted - in nearly every body of water. The caveat is one phenotype might be expressed disproportionately more/less than another, thus the surprise when you catch a spot despite having caught many more barred fish.

Go over to Jody Mills' website. Plenty of spots in his gallery...
