I visited the beautiful st. Clair lake back in July. We launched out of Deckers and mainly fished the north channel. Did pretty will on the first day. Hooked into four. Landed three. I am going back at the end of September. I was wondering if there was a better place to stay, launch, and fish. Any info is greatly appreciated. We are CPR fishermen only. Not looking to take any of those great fish out of that awesome fishery.

Best place to stay is Angler's Pointe, which is right on the water & you can dock your boat there. Best fishing right now is on the south shore in Canadian waters so you might want to think about staying on the Canadian side if crossing the border isn't an issue for you.
