Subject: Addition of Structure Scan to HDS 8 Lowarance

hello, I want to add the side and bottom scan to my current HDS 8 unit. Right now I just have the regular transducer for depth sounding. Is below all I need to buy? What is the difference between LSS-1 and LSS-2?

The LSS-1 was the first generation of Structure Scan, LSS-2 is the newest Structure Scan. Do you have a HDS Gen 2 unit or the original HDS unit?

Larry, just the skimmer ducer wont do it, you need the whole system which is the black box AND the ducer. The ducer alone is like $250, but the system retails for around $599. Those are retail prices.

There were rebates on the LSS1 units earlier in the year and you can find them online at like CList and Ebay for much cheaper.
