Location: Wakefield, MI | My dad has a 89 Bass Tracker with 3/4" pin style seat bases. They're kind of worn out and any post you put in there is kind of sloppy, also not a lot of good choices for different posts. Is there a way to upgrade the base to a different style where we're not going to have to to major surgery? A little bit of work is expected just don't want it to be too severe.
Just wondering what you guys would do. |

| I'm converting from wedge style to the Pin style up front.
I have a few reasons for doing so, but my biggest is ease of availability. Should I need to replace something I can buy the pin pedestals, bases/seat bases virtually anywhere including walmart, Meijer, and other super stores.
If I were you guys, I'd just change out the base for another 3/4 pin base. |

Location: Elgin, IL | I think you can swap them out pretty easy. I have the tapered type that come stock on a Lund. I've never had a reason to change, but probably just a case of some screws in and out.
I would think BassPro could help you with that. |

I like those allot too. My last boat had them and pedestals are an easy in/out.
I would add that style but my plan when re-decking is to rout out the deck so it sits flush, then carpet over everything but the bushing. (and the other reasons mentioned) |

Yep, just a bunch of screws. I went from the ¾ pin mounts to the 1.77" Snap-Lock
Bases. I found the pin Pedestals to be too wobbly. |
