Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | I have a Lowrance LCX27C-HD thats about 7 yrs old. Has worked flawlessly till now. Ill set the gps function to zoom in to say .5 mile scale. after about 30 seconds it defaults way out to like 3 mile scale. I havent noted the exact numbers on the zoom levels but that pretty much tells the tale. Anyone else experience this and know the remedy?

Location: Home of the 2016 World Series Champion Cubs | Thought I'd share the response from lowrance. Turn off the auto zoom which I didnt know existed on the map function. Horsehunter rebooted and restored the default settings which would include turning the autozoom off.
"Thank you for your inquiry.
More than likely, the "AUTO ZOOM" option is activated on your unit which is causing it to automatically zoom back out. To check this, just set your unit to display the Map, then press MENU once and take a look in the list for the AUTO ZOOM option. If there is an "X" icon next to Auto Zoom, then highlight that option and press ENT to remove the "X". It would now hold your zoom range after zooming in to a desired level however, if you continue to experience this issue, then please get back with us.
