I have been thinking about getting some bucktail jigs to add to my arsenal. I've jig fished using mostly Creature and Reaper setups. Has anyone here ever used buck tail jigs like the ones made by SPRO or Bomber? Any thoughts on this?

That's something that I have never experimented with, but here is my opinion:

Ask Steve Worrall. I hear he is quite the creature fanatic...

I mold my own bucktails up to 8oz for offshore fishing. Always keep one in the musky box

Definitely give it a try... I've caught a couple cold water river muskies on hair jigs in the winter... Usually think black and adding a plastic trailer helps (gulp) or pork rind. Trigger X big moe is also a pretty awesome trailer for a cold water muskie jig.

Thanks for the input guys. Hey Steve Worrall, esoxaddict thinks I should ask you. What do you think?
