Not a lot of choices in a true short shank out there.

5/0 check out VMC Gladiators, super sharp and 6X strong, great hooks

I like the Musky Innovation 6/0, 7/0 and 8/0 also.

I'm using 4/0, 5/0 and 7/0 Musky Innovations short shank wide gaps and like them so far.

the mustad 35656 3/0 has the gap of a 5/0 but short like a 3/0

i use the vmc gladiators on my lures and must say they are big, beefy, and very sharp. definitely recommend them for big fish!
