| I have about 8 HR's and have recently had the chance to use a DeadHead. The DeadHead is more boyant then the HR and has a much more irregular walk the dog pattern. It also has much more belly roll/flash. IMHO the HR Shaker is good for deeper slower presentations. The DeadHead can be used this way but can also be fished more quickly when the fish are a little more active. I would get both. |

| I get tired of the $20 investment into similar baits that do the same thing. Give me instead multiple colors of one that works.
Based on L C's evaluation I do not feel the investment in a Hughes is justifiable for the fishing I do. I would much rather have 1 bait that does one thing well than 10 that do the same thing with various capabilities. example the undertaker, does the same thing several other baits do which I already have, and so far my fish have said the undertaker does it less capably than the other baits. I would rather have the $20 to spend on something else. Not everyone fishes the same conditions and that makes some baits really work for some and not for others due to the fact that location can somewhat predict and dictate bait success. I would rather not have to learn everything by rote. I hope to skip as many steps as possible along the way. [;)] |
