2nd the TI telescopics. All I use now and bulletproof so far on very heavy usage for multiple seasons.

Well I broke the tip on my okuma 8'6'' XXH split grip last week while casting a medussa. Good thing for the lifetime warranty. However, I have been using the 8'6" XH for years with no issues. The XH is a good all purpose rod.

I have several TI split grip rods. Hard to beat for the cost of them! Never had a problem for two years now.

I pretty much have all the models in the okuma telescopic evx musky series and have use them for 2 seasons and they have been great,no problems at all.Just picked up a new 9'3"xh in the split grip model and looking forward to putting a beating on it.They are priced right and have a great warranty also.

Okuma rods are awesome. They are affordable, and yet, you get lifetime warranty.

I have used three to four different type models of telescopic rods, and I think that if you want something that is Lite in weight and great to fish with all day, I would highly recommend the Tica 8' xhvy rod.( Looks and feels like a med/hvy rod ) I just bought 2 for $120 with shipping................................ I just found a few of the others like Okumas a little heavy for me to use all day long. But they do make a great rod too... Just My Opinion.....................Mike

I have several Okuma's and like them. The only issue with the telescopic feature I have noticed was on a November day where temps were in the 20's. Some water apparently got in the joint and it did not want to slide down. Put it in a garage, where it was slighty above freezing and the rod worked fine.

I have several Okuma and have used them with no issues.

I have a 8'6" now that won't collapse. I've tried icing down the rod (non-handle end) and it has not worked any other ideas to get this working again?

I have a few Tackle Industries telescopic rods and love them. Sold most of my other rods except a St Croix my fateher got me years back. TI rods are by far my favorite rods I have ever used. The telescopics are a dream to throw big rubber with all the way down to smaller bucktails. Great sticks for the money. Nice TI give so much back to Veterans and kids too. Helps when I know part of my money is going to good causes.
