So I busted the lip on one of my favorite Firetiger Pre ROI depthraiders last week on the Woods. Lip basically broke in half bouncing off a rock reef, I reeled back half the lip while the bait floated up and I was able to get it back. Due to the design with the swivel eye basically embeded in the lip, I don't think there are many options to repair this guy are there? Anyone find a good way to repair the lip without worrying about future durability? Trying to figure out a way to thru wire it but seems like a lot of work and probably won't be successful. Thanks

Location: Des Moines IA | It's pretty much dead buddy. It's hard to accept when it's the one in a hundred that has that special something fish like. Luckily, they are replaceable, just have to buy a hundred more, and find the good one I guess!!

LOL thanks for the condolonces fellas! I can fix my old J-10 Jakes & M-9 Grandmas but the DR's are toast and I kinda figured that. It had been a good bait for a long time, oh the memories of fish caught Glad it didn't break on a fish. Just somethin bout some of those old Pre ROI's that just plain catch fish....

Posts: 1169 Location: New Hope MN | What color was it? Jointed or non? I have never boated a ski on a depth raider. All mine are pre ROI and they just hang in my box. Maybe I have one?

I do! I think it's from the mid 90's. I've caught 2 nice walleyes on it and 2 +35" pike. One throated it. I had to fillet that fish just to get the bait out. Not joking... see pic. bait is scratched like crazy but still works. I'll trade you for a non jointed decent crank. Like a grandma, big game, DDD, etc?
