Is there a quick fix for a thumb bar that does not re-engage after every cast? After casting the thumb bar doesn't always pop back out.Is this an easy fix or should it be sent to a pro to be fixed? Thanks!

Pikemaster can hook you up. It needs a new kick lever. I am guessing the number on the bottom of the reel foot has "00" in it. 00 means first generation and they have upgraded parts in the new models that fit the original. Hope this helps.

I just replaced the kick lever in that same reel last week. Long and short is that the 18 00 prefix indicates a reel that has an older kick lever installed that is prone to failure. If you're not up to replacing it yourself, I'd say Pikemaster is the guy to talk to.

Word to the wise: The Revo's are not like the old Abus where you can have them apart, fixed, and back together in 15 minutes. They are serviceable if you take your time and you are careful and pay close attention to how things come apart. Unless you've had a few reels apart and back together, I'm not sure I'd tackle a kick lever. I've always cleaned/repaired all my own reels, from Diawa's to Abu's to Shimano and Penn. But I was almost to the point with the Revo where I was going to send Pikemaster a bucket of parts!

Send it to the factory in Spirit Lake IA and you will have it back in about 4-6 business days and odds are at no charge.

+1
And make sure they upgrade the spool if its an old one. I broke two of the ones that were crimped onto the shaft.
