I hear that guys are putting the Trinidad 16NA handle on the Tranx and curious what advantage is gained from doing this? More line pickup?

I think its the LJV handle your thinking of. I had one on my Tranx and was more comfortable to me and a bit easier to turn the reel with a longer handle.

I put my 16na handle on my tranx. Reeling blades in is much easier this way

Yep, 16NA on mine too. Didn't want to leave my 16NA without a handle, so I ordered one. Mark from Dave's Reel Service can get them for you.

The advantage is a longer handle to make reeling easier.  No more line pick up than normal, but easier reeling.
