“Do ya mind” as I cast towards the fish.

I had that happen to me before – I’m never letting it go either. Whenever I fish with that guy now I remind him - frequently

If I have one following a topwater, I say, "Here comes one!" quietly, just loud enough for the other angler to hear me. If on an underwater lure, I will say, "There she is.." If I get one to eat, I say, "THERE SHE IS!!!" not quite so quietly.

Dick Rose used to suddenly thrash his rod around in the water when things got a bit too quiet, and holler, "DID YOU see THAT???". If asked what he saw, he would say, "Just stay on your toes. That was SOMETHIN'!!" He called that Guide Hype. They broke the mold when Dick was born. The muskie world will forever miss the old con artist![] [:blackeye:]

On my first ever guide trip, the guide tried that line on me,too bad I was watching his lure!I just played along and kept on chucking lures.Too bad the imaginary fish was the only one we saw all day...Oh well,it was a good time and he was a class act.BTW it was the late "Porky" Madson on the Chippewa Flowage in July.
