| Considering adding hydraulic steering to my boat. Anyone ever done this before? Just started thinking about this. Does it make a big difference? |

| I am also considering adding hydraulic steering. Just wondering, does your motor have to be on for the hydraulic steering to work? Im wondering because I'm also going to be adding a kicker motor. If I just a connecting bar between motors, will the hydraulic steering work with the kicker when my big motor is not running? |

Yes it can control your kicker if you join them.

| Just swapped out my dual cable system on my '90 Hydrostream for the Teleflex Baystar Hydraulic system. What a difference! The wheel holds steady, no feedback, so much smoother, should have done it sooner. Bought my kit off ebay for $489 shipped. |

Location: Iowa | I had no feedback on my last 2 and hydraulic on my 690vs. Either one is a huge upgrade. No fun fighting the steering all the time. |
