Water temp has come down quite a bit. 75 this morning. Fish were active--went 1 for 5, unfortunately the "1" was the smallest at about 25". Had a pig, high 40's in the figure 8 that wouldn't commit. Having a lot of fun this week!

Cool. Looks like you have the moon going for you too. Now if you could give me a little more info please. Weeds or rocks? Deep or shallow?
The cottage we have is on Upper Gresham. Last year I had some action on the first day then nuthin. This year I'm movin the boat for sure. I was thinking deepr lakes because of the water temps??? Thanks for the report, good luck.

You may actually be better off with shallower lakes with the temps. Going from what I heard from others recently as I haven’t been out due to waiting for the temps to come down. I was told the shallower lakes are actually cooler than the deep lakes, and the shallower water cooler than deep water on the deep lakes. Makes sense actually as just like in the spring the shallower waters warm quicker, but also cool quicker as well. Thus due to the colder nights the shallower water is cooling down, but it sounds like the deep water is not. Heard the shallower water was 75 last week whereas the deeper water and deeper lakes were still 78-79°.

Got a 30" and a 46" at night--10 pm, numerous strikes and follows in between. Casted shallow weeds--6-7 feet where a drop off occurred to 17'---both released well.
