Location: NE/IL | Anyone have any updates on Rt 53 from Eau Claire to Duluth and beyond? Just wondering how the recent flooding my impact our travel from IL up to International Falls on Friday. Pulling our own boat up this year so hoping for minimal travel issues.
Any updates would be greatly appreciated.

| Just arrived today at Vermillion. We are from Illinois and traveled route 53. There was a detour in Eau Claire but other than that there was no problems. Saw a couple of black bears heading towards the highway. Hope they turned back.

I meant to say Deluth is were the detour is. Just follow the detour signs and you will be in great shape

| Eyeman---Dan is correct-----53 North in Duluth (the bridge) is closed for repairs. Southbound 53 is still open. There are detour signs that take you to the other side of the bridge---just follow them and you won't have a problem. Good luck----Pat |

Location: Milwaukee, WI | Can anyone tell me if Canada HWY 11 between Fort Francis and Rainy River is open? I know the Minnesota side is under construction, but wondering of we need to detour our route to completely avoid International Falls. |

| it was fine last week----you know how fast things change in the construction world though----might be torn up now. Intl falls was fine and HWY 11 was good.Jobu |
