| I will be fishing a small 150 acre lake in southern Wisconsin next week-end. It is almost one giant break along banks except weedy flats at ends and clear. Water temp should be low to mid 40's. I have had limited success here, but keep going back because of all the muskies I see. Will probably throw jerk-baits and crank-baits, but any suggestions will be appreciated. Sorry to you northerners who are about done for the year! |

| Hard to say.....but if you tell me the name of the lake maybe I can be there to help you out..[;)] []
No really, try cranking the deep breaks. Also if it is small and there is forage in the main basin down be afraid to fish suspendos in that 150 acre lake. |

| Two suggestions:
Hit the flats...anything shallow from 2-8 feet with a Shallow Invader. Death twitch the hell out of it. Don't straight retrieve....twitch it to death....it's a killer cold water tactic.
Next thing, fish deep. 10" believers or other deep cranks out in the middle.
Good luck. |

| Shawn, if you are seeing alot of fish on this lake, I hope you are dragging a sucker or two. That may make the difference. |

| I second the sucker tip. A good bet for clear and pressured waters. |

| Thanks to you all for responding, ESPECIALLY Cory and MJB. I'll say no more there. Don't think this weekend is going to work now. That figures, get a warming trend, I'm going to have to wait and see if it holds out for another week. If not, I'll be there anyway. Thanks |
