Going to miltona for the first time next week. Was wondering if anyone had some tips to share? Lures, colors that sort of stuff. Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't been there this year but the lake is pretty clear and the weedline can be very deep. I'm used to fishing very stained water with only shallow weeds so it was tough to getting used to keeping the boat in much deeper water than I normally would. We had luck on cowgirls and bulldawgs (surprise!) on the weed edges. Very nice lake with some real hogs in it.

Although.... the biggest fish (50+) I saw that week was sitting in 2 feet of water under the dock. I almost jumped in after it!

I recommend hiring Dave Williamson. He is on fish all the time and gives back to Muskies Inc. He has a wealth of knowledge about Miltona and his prices are reasonable.
