Subject: removing hooks from fish

Hi all just wondering what is the safest way to remove hooks from a muskie's mouth? I have a large holding pen net and haven't came across deeply hooked fish yet.

Would a boca grip and jaw spreaders be the best way to get the mouth open to get the hooks out when its in the pen? And have some cutters nearby just in case the hooks are in bad?

thanks
