Posts: 375 | when i'm out on cloudless days the sun really gets to the back of my hands to the point where within a day or two after being out very small blisters show up. i pile on the heavy duty sunscreen throughout the day and it works for me everywhere else but it doesn't do the backs of my hands much good. has anyone out there seen or tried such a thing as thin comfortable fingerless gloves that are specifically made for sun protection? thanks...

I really like Dr. Shade Sun Gloves with Polyurethane Palm. 50+UPF Sun protection. Thin, hold shape great after extended use, and Poly Palm doesn't slip on rod when wet. Wash great and really protect the top of your hands. http://www.campmor.com/dr-shade-sun-glove-polyurethane-palm.shtml

Posts: 242 | Patagonia makes a really nice lightweight glove. The palm and fingers are cut out, so you have a very comfortible and direct grip on your rod. Also, these gloves have the finger sleeves cut a little shorter so the edge of the glove is actually behind your finger joint as opposed to right on it (I find that annoying). I tried a few others, but I hated fishing with that "glove" feel, which I don't get with these Patagonias. They may be worth a look. http://www.patagonia.com/us/product/patagonia-sun-gloves?p=28720-0-...

Posts: 994 Location: Minnesota: where it's tough to be a sportsfan! | I've got some made by Simms I found on sale somewhere along the trail. They seem to be good, comfortable. My problem is getting myself to take the time to wear them.
