Looking at getting a new reel. I already have a Revo Toro Winch 60 on a 8.6 Mojo. thinking about a Saltist 20, on a 8.6 TI rod. Just wondering how difficult it is to use this reel without the thumb bar opinion would it be a lot more difficult to cast then the Revo? I only get to fish Muskies two weeks a year, just looking for a cheaper set up then what I have.

i was a little apprehensive myself about not having a thumb bar but i got the saltist 30 that is also manual clutched and it took about five casts before i never thought about it again its no big deal at all and that is a nice real for the money . Its not a Te so dont try to compare it something like that but a solid reel for the money

Nice lineup by Daiwa... all-metal construction... easy maintenance...

on the downside... my 20TH has been regulated to sucker duty... works awesome for that... rest of the season, it just sits on the rack...
