I'm looking at purchasing one of these reels. What do you respective muskie nuts think? Do they hold when casing a DBL 10's all day. I'm looking at the below reel specs for an 8' St Croix... Yes, I need the LHR..

Abu Garcia® Revo Winch Series
MODEL NO. 1201903 Left HAND RETRIEVE
Gear Ratio: 5.4:1
Line Capacity: 12lbs/175 yards
Weight 8.54 oz
Ball Bearings: 11
Left Hand Retrieve

The Revo Winch is too small for musky baits and braided line IMO. I would think 10's would destroy this reel. The Revo Toro Winch is what you are looking for.

the revo toro winch is awesome for big blades. its not going to get the moving as fast and some other reels but its a breeze the reel them in at a good pace all day. plus its really lightweight so you wont get tired after a long day.

I have the revo Toro winch on a 8'6" xh rod and its good for double 10's but its a slower reel. And with the bigger blades the xh rod makes it easier to figure 8 because your rod doesn't have too much give.

Agreed, The winch is a fantastic big blade reel. However like he said you will not be able to bring them in fast. If you are looking for a reel to "burn em", this is not the option for you.

The specs you listed are for the bass-sized Revo Winch, not the Toro Winch as the title of your post states. The Toro Winch 50/60 that has a 4.6:1 gear ratio is good for musky lures and is known to be decent for 10s (just slow as stated by others). The Revo Winch with 5.4:1 is part of the bass line of Revos, but it has a lower gear ratio, increased line capacity, and a slightly larger handle than the other bass-sized Revos. They will work for small musky lures, but not typical musky lures.

Thanks for the heads up on the correct size, I was about to pull the trigger when I came back here and noticed my mistake. The 4: 6: 1 is what I will order.
