What speed is everyone trolling now that the water is getting colder?

I was out today and the water temp was 45-47, trolled all day between 2.5 and 4 mph, managed a 44" at about 2.9 mph, that was the only action.

I'd bet if I score tomorrow, it will be around 2.4 to 3.0. Jointed believers or 8" Jakes.[:p]

My Boat hit two last weekend on Sunday with water temps at 43. We trolled most of the day going between 5 to 7 mph. The fish were 38" and 45"s long. Also hit lots of pike. Temps will be around 39 to 40 this weekend. Will very speeds again to see what works.

I went from 4.7mph to 2.6 now that the weather has cooled.

I usually troll about 2.5 to 3mph. I don't care if people look at me like I'm out of my mind, trolling that fast in ice cold weather/water, but it works. You bet it does!

Ralph, we boated a fish today 3.5mph and 48 degree temps.

Geez, you passed me twice today, how fast were you going? Going to call you Ralph "leadfoot" Florio.[;)]

Todd,

When all else fails and you are not catching fish, then you crank up the 9.9 and see how fast she can goooooooo!!!!!!![:0]

We trolled from 2mph to 6mph because that's as fast as my 9.9 could go. Tried everything to put a decent fish in the boat to no avail!!![:(]

My thought was to go as fast as I can and try to snag a lazy fish that did not know what hit him/her, it did not work!!!!![:blackeye:]

Next time stop me and say hi!!!!![:)]

I was out all day Friday, casting and trolling between 2mph and 4mph. Water temps were 38 to 40 degrees. One stinkin' pike.

Ralph, I should have clarified, you past me on the road twice on your way there. I fished another lake. You take the same way as I do. We stop in the marathon there before you turn on the brick road. They have crispy cremes there plus a decent snack shop and it's not full of creepy people like some of the stations on the highway.
