My keel guard is starting to peel loose from the boat. Right now, it only the top inch that is off the hull but I believe it will continue to separate if not fixed. Does anyone have some experience in making this repair? What should be used and how should it be done?
Thanks
Ray

Mine is too. i would ask your dealer. I heard there was an issue with some of the adhesive that was used on the keep guards of a certain brand.

those will continue to rip and then the cost of removal and re-installation will make you crazy. when you put the same new one on it will fail too. i did 2 before realizing it was a never-ending battle. i'm not sure what the new owner did, but i think he's replaced with a Hamby's and it hasn't failed. don't let your dealer talk you into another rubber one ... at any cost.

also ... take a look at your bunks and make sure you're not rubbing anything while loading.

the problem you are experiencing is a pain in the butt and worse ... it's expensive!!

If it is only a small area you can make the repair yourself using a quick set clear epoxy. Any hardware store, Menards, Lowes, Home Depot, Fleet Farm.......will have it. Done it myself many times. Easy to use and works great without peeling again.
