I have a Frabill Power Stow and have landed some musky with it but it was not easy. I fish alone. Is there a lighter net that would be worth switching to?

Location: Detroit River		Depending on which size Frabil that you have you can buy the Stowmaster replacement bag which is thinner netting & a lot lighter & moves through the water better. The only down side (IMO) is that it will tangle more than the thicker netting.

Go to tackle shop that carries muskie size nets. Test the ones they have on the shelves to see which one or ones you can handle with one hand. Buy the one that feels best.

Thanks for the replies. The Bucher net lists its weight at 4.4 lbs. which seems super light. I can't find weights listed for Frabills. As noted, once in the water the bag and its drag has a big impact.

Beckman fin saver 30x36. Not sure if that would be big enough but is very light to use for netting your own fish.

I use this net and I mostly fish by myself 95% of the time. I have no issues using the net alone. If your in decent shape you shouldnt have a problem with this net.

Location: Mt. Zion, IL		If I can land a 48" fish alone with a big kahuna, you can do it with a power stow net.

Location: Minnesota		get a beckman i fish alone most of the time hold rod in one hand net in other had a stow master brought it back after one trip went back to a beckman
