Posts: 259 Location: Madison, WI | Hi guys, Was thinking about getting a hat camera to film some topwater action on an upcoming musky trip. Question for those of you who use them.... What are some good brand names / models numbers that you could recommend? Thanks in advance for any feedback! "Jackpot" John Schroeder

The price will start to add up as it is 300 for the camera. The backpack so you can run a extra battery , 2 or 3 extra batteries , a sd card and all the other gadgets that you can get for the camera. Just started playing with it this year and so far I have 3 fish from hookset to release and another one in the bag for unhooking and release. Fun little toy

The VIO units are more expensive but have more interactive capabilities while you are shooting. Pioneer Press outdoors writer Dave Orrick is doing a story on point of view cameras for anglers and outdoors enthusiasts in Sundays 6/3 paper in their outdoors section and should offer some great info. The story will also be available online. One additional nugget, VIO was just recently acquired by Versa Electronics of New Hope MN, makers of MarCum units.
