Posts: 122 | The WORLD MUSKIE TOURNAMENT SERIES™ (WMT Series™) hosted the second tournament of a back to back weekend for the Muskie Country Tournament Circuit™ (MCTC™) on Lake Waubesa and Upper Mud Lake on Mother’s Day Sunday, May 13th. Without a cloud in the sky or a breath of wind, the calm conditions didn’t favor a good muskie bite resulting in only two muskies being captured for the event. Finishing in second place the day before, Dan Ballweg and Jordan Frey one bettered themselves on Sunday capturing the largest muskie for the competition and grabbing first place this time. Although most of the competing anglers reported having several chances at muskies throughout the day, the first muskie to hold on to their bait would come at 9:05am by the husband and wife team of Nathan and Tifany Loeffler scoring in at 35 ¼ inches. For the second tournament in a row at 11:11am, Dan Ballweg and Jordan Frey would tally the largest muskie of the day with a 38 ½ incher but unlike the previous tourney, no other team would double up this time to knock the duo out of first place. The MUSKIE COUNTRY TOURNAMENT CIRCUIT™ Lake Waubesa tournament paid down six places: 1st – Dan Ballweg/Jordan Frey 2nd – Nathan & Tifany Loeffler 3rd – Rob Kahl/Chad Peterson 4th – Doug & Don Grant 5th – John Klus/Jeff Kluslow 6th – Paul Thruman/Chad Strutzel The next tournaments for the MUSKIE COUNTRY TOURNAMENT CIRCUIT™ are held on the weekend of May 19th & 20th at Pewaukee Lake and Lake Okauchee. Both tournaments have some open spots. If you are interested in one or both you can sign up for them the previous Friday, May 18 th at the Machine Shed Restaurant just off of HWY 94 by the Holiday Inn and the Wildwood Lodge starting at 5:30pm until 7:30pm. The WMT Series™ events are open to the public.
