| So I am in the market for new batteries and I'm just wondering what your guys thoughts are on optimas. Any info would be awesome. |

| I have recently found that optima batteries are now made in Mexico. This changed from being USA made a few years ago. |

Location: Des Moines IA | When I went to batteries plus to have my 6 year old Optimas load tested. They told me mine were probably some of the last good Optimas made. They recommended Trojan, or even Cabelas AGM which they don't sell, instead of the Optima's. I wish I would have known that before I bought the 31M Yellow top for my starting battery last year! |

Location: Des Moines IA | They told me they changed HOW, and WHERE they were made. Not really any specifics though. My big yellow top has been nothin' but solid from day 1 though. I run a stereo all day, 2 sonars, and a separate GPS off of it as well. Every time I come home and plug it in, it's almost always above 90%. |

I've had nothing but good luck with mine. On my fifth season and know others who have had some for up to eight years believe it or not.
I believe it, I should probably check the dates on my original optimas because I might be one of the "others" pretty soon.
It is painful to buy these batteries... but it only hurts once, I have nothing but good things to say about them other than the price. |
