yup, leaving the Ag world to talk to boaters and fisherman all day, sella few boats too I hope[] . The oportunity came up and I took it, getting to drive a mile to work every day sounds very appealing esp. since my current territory just got expanded and I wont be driving 70,000 plus miles a year anymore with a cell phone attached to my head!!!!
Won't be able to get out early fishing as much due to the nature of the business, but hope to keep hitting the ski's hard summer and fall.
Crystal bought the old Tri-R marine in Rice Lake if you are familiar with that, carrying Crestliner/Ranger/Glastron and Bennington.
I start Nov 25th, hope to keep in touch with a lot of you folks. new numbers and e-mail soon, will keep you posted.

Congrats on the new job. I wish I could find a new job in the fishing industry. It's just at my current position I make enough for my family to live comfortably, without my wife working. I am getting tired of being in IT. Way to much stress [:knockout:] . I need to do something I love. Good luck, and sorry I bought a boat this year.

Gregm,

Are you guys going to be selling Ranger out there? If so maybe I'll come out and buy one from you, actually working a deal on a Ranger right now with a guy at the CP in Crystal.

Congrats Greg!
Those boys over there worked on my trolling motor and done me well, so it should be a good deal! Especially without having to log all those miles. Plus you'll have to test drive a few of those boats for customers.... corrrect!?!?

Way to GO!! Now you won't fish at all...but at least you will be around folks who do instead of behind the wheel all the time. I will stop in and say hi, buy you lunch!

Let's all plan a day to stop in and get a test ride in something that has a big motor to go along with a big price tag. All on the same day!![]

Thanks guys, greatly appreciated. With the current economy, wasnt sure if a job jump was the smartest move in the world, but personal life was suffering way to much not to take the offer.

Phish Killer, thanks for the opportunity to take yer money.[] Being new, I don't want to step on any colleauges toes, but you the customer do have the choice on where you purchase your boat. WIll gladly work with you if given the chance. 715-236-BOAT is the number, easy enough to remember. My role is also going to include financing/extended warranties and insurance for those interested. The 2002 closeouts are definately worth a look, whoah.

Mr.Worral, you are correct, my fishing time will be cut short for a good share of the season, at least the bigger/far away trips, but I get to spend a lot more smaller 2-3 hour jaunts on my home waters that I have neglected all summer for some silly reason. It not only gave me my biggest so far this year, but recent shocking reports show I should spend WAY more time fishing here anyhow.[] [;)]

thx again everyone.

Greg, congrats on the new job. You will still put 70k a year on a vehicle, it will be going back and forth to work, sell a boat, go home and check the message board, sell a boat, go home and check the message baord......[;)]
