I just recently started buying stuff from this section and I just want to thank all of you that sell on there for being honest guys. Never got the run around. I pay for it, boom its at my front door. Sometimes I have even got lures at my door before I paid for them. Just keep it up. It'd an awesome thing.

I agree. Everyone is honest and they do what they say they will do. Never had any issues.

Right on Luke!

That's what kind of brought me back posting here...  I was going to buy components to make a gross of large blades this winter, then got to thinking about it and ended up buying 60-70 used x10s/12s for an average of about $10 a bait shipped.  It's a piece of cake to just reassemble them with "certain" modifications (I was told to quit giving away secrets). But I can share with you that bubblegum (pink) appears to be the least favorite blade color for guys on this site. LOL!

Well put everyone, I have both bought and sold items on here, and everyone has been easy to work with! Have not had any issues yet, everyone seems to be great to work with. Thanks to everyone!

When I was a 16 year old kid I took a buddy fishing that normally didn't fish. We stopped off at a bait shop for him to purchase a fishing license ~ After we bought bait and his license the total added up to $5 more than we had. The bait shop owner looked at me and said I think I see you in here all the time, just drop $5 off the next time you make it down here to fish. 2 weeks later I was back down to fish, stopped in and gave him the $5.
With a huge smile on his face he said, "Fishermen might all be liars, but none of them are thieves"

There really are a lot of great guys (and gals?) on here. You can occasionally come across someone who isn't doing the right thing, but for the most part my dealings have been fantastic. I think it really has that community feel to it and I like it. And guys are really good about sending payment and/or baits out really quickly. I won't even touch eBay after being on here. What a great resource to have.

I agree with makins117. This forum blows eBay out of the water. The baits are shipped out so fast and no one is trying to cheat anyone out of anything. Its a bunch of good honest people sharing the same addiction.

I think communication is the key. Send a PM when payment arrives. Send a PM when item arrives. Updates are huge when dealing with peoples goods!!!

Thankyou MF !!!

Agree, updates and information are always important. I was kind of leery dealing with complete strangers and no recourse, but only had one minor problem so far. Obviously MF should not be involved because it's a free service, but it would be nice if we could somehow flag users ourselves.

Addendum: if you sell your items it would be helpful if you added sold/delete to the title for convenience.

Good experience each time I bought. One guy had the item in the mail on Friday knowing I couldn't get an American money order till Monday. I wish more were willing to mail to Canada.

Flag negative users: let me know who is doing what. Not much I can do beyond a strongly worded PM or email, but if there becomes a pattern with this person, they don't get to sell things on MF anymore. It's a free service for people and if they abuse the use thereof, I have no qualms about deleting their threads. Actually, I kinda like it.

I think you guys do a great  job of monitoring that already, (sometimes too good LOL).  I would certainly let you know if I got ripped off, or something was grossly misrepresented. The only problem I had was that the guy honestly thought the baits were double tens and 12s... it was hard for me to tell an 6-8 from a 10-12 in the picture.  No worries...

It was just a thought that if you guys do a software upgrade it would be awesome to be able to click a button to keep track of people...good and bad.

The trade forum is an excellent addition to the MF site versus other sites!

Just thought I'd chime in and say I agree. I was skeptical at first, but I've had nothing but great experiences with all the users I've done business with.

Little note here: if you reduce your price after you've already reduced, and no one is responding, chances are if I catch it I will replace your prior reduction with your latest reduction. If this results in your thread being pushed back to the second or third page, that's probably where it should be.

If you annoyingly reduce over and over again or have idiot updates (you know what they are) or ask yourself questions (yes, I can tell when you're doing that) I'm just going to delete the whole thing.

I'd have to say everyone I've bought and sold with has been very honest to deal with except hcChad. I wouldn't make any trades with that guy.

Here is Stan's two cents from both ends of the spectrum.
I have bought, sold and traded for many items on this board. I have to honestly say that, i have never dealt with a more honest bunch of people in my life anywhere.
The very first time I sold a bunch of baits to one person, I got ripped for $1500.00 and I kept it to myself but someone saw him at a show selling them super cheap and knew my work and man did they come loose. No one thought I would deal without direct payment any more. But I posted and said one bad apple does not ruin the barrel and we would continue the way it was until I got "ripped" again.
I send and receive baits from all over the US and , yes, Canada. I have received many personal checks and not one has bounced to this day and it has been many years now.
Now, I may not be able to deliver with a day or two all the time, but I do deliver. I am 69, work a job full time, and do some commercial painting yet, and lots of custom painting. So this old boy puts a lot of hours in each day.
So I always try to deliver asap . I even replaced a paint job that was three years old simply cause it peeled for some reason and wasn't used much.
Bottom line is, if you treat people right they will treat you right. You will always find one once in a while that is the wrong one but the vast majority is honest .
I love painting and working with you guys. YES< YES, I still paint and ship to CANADA.
I guess I did four cents over the two I started with. Happy Easter everyone.
