| Anybody want to join me for some shore fishing (mostly catfish and smallmouth in pool 2) until muskie opener? I haven't really found any fishing partners since I moved to St. Paul, and I've been fishing alone a lot. Gets kinda boring.... Just let me know if you're interested. |

| Pool 2 is the stretch of the mississippi from the ford dam to the dam in Hastings. It's about a 20 mile or so stretch of river. The two spots I've found so far that I'm most interested in are in Newport and the south edge of St. Paul.

Location: Eagan, MN | Check out the wing dams just downstream from the 35e bridge on southern bank. It's all park land, with plenty of parking at the boat launch.
Oh, and don't forget it is catch and release year-round for walleye, sauger, largemouth and smallmouth.
