Posts: 202 | Hey everyone I just finished the paper work for my new 2012 Tuffy 2100 however having a spot reserved in the mold for my boat and actually knowing what color boat I want them to make are to different things. If you have a Tuffy Boat and like the color or just have a Tuffy color pattern you have been eyeing up please let me know what color combo you have and possibly post a pic. Thanks for the help!

Posts: 1916 Location: Greenfield, WI | I have had a combination of Black metalflake above Silver metalflake on both of my Tuffy Boats. It never looks dirty, always looks good! Edited by Steve Van Lieshout 3/27/2012 10:12 PM

Posts: 380 Location: Michigan | With the rest of the world... Spencer go with charcoal or black metal flake. Nothing red, blue, green, tan, etc. Its good for resale. I went wtih black metal flake on my 2012 Ranger 621:) Edited by Chasin50 3/29/2012 7:00 PM

Posts: 121 Location: Plymouth IA | Spencer BlueJewel & Gunmetal and do not worry about the resale. Tuffys last and last, mine's 27 years old and runs like new. Those other boat brands just wish theirs would last like a Tuffy.

One thing Tuffy can claim none of the other glass walleye or musky boats can is no sale of the company and-or no bankruptcy in the last 20 years.

I went wtih black metal flake on my 2012 Ranger 621:) I'd be willing to bet 1/3 of the Rangers sold are red, or have alot of red on them. This is a non-scientific observation. I like the Gunmetal and the lighter colors for one reason. Anything dark gets really hot in sun. And with the solid gray bottom, fish aren't shying away at all. Edited by Shep 3/30/2012 11:59 AM

Posts: 121 Location: Plymouth IA | 1 ranger We all love our boats and i have friends who run ranger. Let me know when yours is 27 years old and what you think of it then. i know there are not many old guys like me who run an old boat, but it works for me That is a really good point about lighter colors not getting hot in the sun. Posts: 433 Location: Cedarburg, Wisconsin | Color choice is pretty personal and the last thing I'd ever worry about is what others thought of my boat. I bought it for me, not them. Here's one in Blue Jewel and Gunmetal on a white hull to give you an idea of the combo. The Blue Jewel is pretty drab on a cloudy day but in the sun it explodes. It does get hot in the summer sun but I doubt it is as smoking hot as a darker color would be. Attachments ---------------- cropped.jpg (56KB - 437 downloads)
