| Which is all your takes on which chip do you prefer and any reasoning why?
I ended up going with 2011 chips in my lowrance HDS because I was hesitant to wait and buy the 2012 navionics. |

Location: Not where I want to be! | I have one 5 year old navionics. Granted it is 5 years old. I also have Minnesota, LOTW/Rainy, and Wisconsin Lakemasters. I definately prefer the Lakemasters, unfortunately they will no longer be made for Lowrance. I feel they have better detail. Maybe the newer Navionics are better. |

| Thats what my understanding was too about them not making any more updates for lowrance, thats why I decided to get the 2011 before I sat and thought about it to long and then they sell out!

Location: Wisconsin | Lakemaster has some great detail, but they don't offer the same number of lakes that Navionics does. Especially if you fish northern Wisconsin. Plus, if you fish multiple states, Navionics has one chip for WI, MN, MI, ND, SD and parts of Canada on one chip. That's a big savings. Best would be have both, but if you were to have one chip to cover a large amount of lakes and territory, get the navionics. |

| Are the newest Navionics in HD? I am also struggling with this decision. I have seen the HD Lakemaster chip and it is amazing, but when I looked at the lakes offered in the WI chip I was pretty disapointed that the majority of the lakes I fish are not on there. |

| I prefer the Lakemaster due to the extra features I can do with it on my Humminbird (depth highlight, shallow highlight, lake water level offset). If you don't have a Humminbird then these features are useless. |

| Can you do these things with a Navionics in a Humminbird? Also are these things worth not having a lot of the lakes you fish? This is my first graph with these capabilities so I dont have any idea. |
