Posts: 19 | I have been thinking about hooking a pedometer on my back or shoulder to count casts in a day. Has anyone ever found an accurate way to determine number of casts?

Posts: 719 | Figured out vertical jigging hops once....when river jigging I make about 22 hops of the jig per minute which in 8 solid hours means 10,560 3ft hops...

Posts: 86 Location: colorado | When I was a swimmer I had a lap counter that wasnt much bigger then a ring. I touched it with my thumb each end of the pool to count laps. Im sure it would work on your hand or mounted on your rod/reel.

Posts: 560 Location: deephaven mn | how many cast do you make in a minute? 2 or 3 ? so 2.5x60 minutes x 14 hours then subtract time lost for moving to new spots, changing baits, having a snack, relasing a fish ect. or just count em

Posts: 174 Location: Ontario | When it comes to catching muskie, toss out a nice big lure that trolls nice and easy...and enjoy the scenery..Cover more area and save the body all the wear and tear. My personal opinion anyways...

Posts: 177 | Just use the musky formula for every musky you have caught you should have made 10 000 casts right? Lol

Location: Eastern Ontario | I divide the pain in my shoulder by 30 years and multiply by 4 or 5 days a week for a average 6 hour day at 40 casts per hour times a 6 month season equal DON'T REALLY KNOW the only math I was any good at was geometery on a pool table.

Posts: 1144 Location: Minnesota. | When I was introducing my two sons to pitching for "teeth" a decade or so back the question came up a few times "Hey dad, how many casts does it take to get a 25 pounder....??" My reply, "Just one!" They were patient and didn't complain (too much)..*G* http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v319/thegubster/nates45inmuskie-1... Jeremy. Edited by Jeremy 3/31/2012 10:24 AM
