Probably rated to about 5 oz...but do yourself a favor and go with one of the Gander GSX Tourney rods for 99 Bucks. They are great rods built on great blanks and will have a 2 yr warranty over the counter.

I would guess up to 3 or 4 ounces. There's another thread about these on here. As I stated in one of my other posts, look for a longer rod.

If that's the rod that has a dark blue color blank I have one. I can't remember if it's 7' or 7' 6" but that is my go to WTD rod. Really, I think I picked the thing up 3 or 4 years ago for $40 or something like that and it is a great rod for the money. I believe the one I have is rated 3/4 - 3 oz but I have thrown up to a regular bulldawg on it without problem. I wouldn't try anything bigger than that though.

I believe he's talking about the red/maroon Advantage. I don't think they still make the blue ones. They used to be $30.

Oh. Honestly that cheap blue one has been an awesome jerkbait rod for me. Maybe I don't know any different but I like it. If the blue rod is still available I wouldn't hesitate to buy another. Most of the elite guys on here might laugh but for a up and comer on a budget like myself I would recommend them to any beginners.

I own 2 of them. Towards the end of last year I used one as a jerkbait rod. They are nice rods. Now I have them paired up with line counter reels.

Nothing wrong with the rod. I don't think they have had them for a couple years. The only reason I didn't buy one before was due to the length. I thought someone told me the $40 Advantage models went up to 8', but they only have a 7' on their website.

What's the name of your blue rod? I feel like they used to be the Advantage line, but I can't remember anymore. They might have just changed the color of them and bumped up the price over the years.
