I just bought a 24 v Minnkota Maxxum. My current set up has a 24.6 Everstart walmart special in it, and my battery box could hold two of these but no bigger. Would this cut it, or do I need to look at a way to create more space?

Go with the biggest dual battery 24 volt set up you can fit. I suggest optima blue top. But I would guess the Interstate equivalent would perform the same from what I have read here and there.

Nothing wrong with Walmart batteries. i use them all the time. they are made by johnson controls just like alot of other "name brand" batteries are. I have had a set on my 24 volt last for over 4 years now as long as i charge them after use which is the smart thing to do.

Will I be ok with this "small" of a battery? Just have less run time?

Is this a series 24 battery? Pretty small and lower reserve. If you can fit a 27 series, that would be better.
