Posts: 173 | Anyone having any luck? I've been out 6 times in the last 10 days or so and I haven't seen a musky after seeing 5 in my first 3 trips out. Haven't caught one yet. My usual spots on Bald Eagle are currently weedless because of poisoning, tried WBL lake tonight...way different and extremely busy. How's everyone else doing?

Posts: 4080 Location: Elko - Lake Vermilion | 3.5 hrs North,... Pretty good . Have I mentioned that fishing in the Cities Suck ?,..... and is like fishing in an insane asylum? Have you been cut off lately?

Posts: 173 | I have been cut off a few times, but honestly, Bald Eagle has been pretty darn good to me over the years...just not this year...I know it can be tough with the stupid weed kill. I used to be able to go out and see a handful of fish and catch one every couple days. It's kind of hard to get 3.5 hrs north of the metro on a week night...although work will have me in Virginia, MN starting as soon as this week, too bad I'll be working too much to get up to Vermilion Edited by VonBraun 6/18/2012 11:32 PM

Posts: 86 Location: north metro, MN | I fish the same spots on bald after weed kill.. I usually do about as good as I do when there are weeds on those spots. Maybe I just get lucky? But I was out there a couple days ago fishing a spot that I fish pretty much year round and there is usually weeds on it. now there is not, but there was still sunnies all over the place in there and there where muskies in there as well, moved a couple off that spot. if the weeds are usually there, and its a spot you have caught or moved fish before then I say still fish it. Dawson- Let me know if you ever have an extra spot in the boat and I'll drive up. Sounds like my brother is hanging up his musky rod to chase salt water... Jason

Posts: 572 Location: Maplewood, MN | I fish bald eagle often. I was doing fairly well out there the first week muskies were open, but since then I haven't been able to fish much and I lost my patterns. Was out there tonight and I was struggling with boat control and the wind. Usually a decent lake, weather seems to be a big factor.

Posts: 173 | I was out there tonight and finally saw another musky, lost it after it hit on the figure 8...just not my luck lately with hits at the boat. Tonight was a very tough night to fish out there. I was struggling to fish any spot the way I wanted to. That was the only musky I raised.

Posts: 1 | Taking a high school kid out on Bald Eagle for his first Muskie experience on early Sunday morning. Hoping to get a little action to get him hooked. Most of my experience on Bald Eagle has been in the evening. Not looking for any spots obviously, but anyone notice any general patterns for early AM fishing on Bald Eagle? Looking to get out around sunrise.

Posts: 63 | I usually fish the same spots in the morning as I would in the evening on that lake.
